Our
quality policy is based on our long-term experience as a pharmaceutical
plant, as well as pharmaceutical know-how.
Pharmia is the first company to have developed applications for NIR (near
infrared spectroscopy) technology in quality assurance of food supplements.
NIR technology enables a fast and reliable quality control of the raw
materials.

Pharmia is controlled and approved by the Finnish Food Safety Authority,
and our operations are based on the ISO 9001 quality management system.
Products manufactured at Pharmia are documented according to pre-agreed
product specific quality requirements.
Raw materials:
- We only use raw materials, which have been analyzed and documented
by the producer
- Traceability as according to EU directives
- A sample from each raw material lot is analyzed using the NIR method.
End products:
- The products are subject to pharmaceuto-technological process controls
all through the manufacturing process
Analyses
We co-operate with certified domestic laboratories in analyzing the active
substances of the products.
- Vitamin contents
- Trace element and mineral contents
Product specifications
- A certificate of composition is delivered to the client on all products
developed and manufactured at Pharmia, to be e.g. attached to the food
supplement notification.
Food supplement notifications
- According to the Decree on Food Supplements (571/2003) in the Food
Act, a food supplement notification has to be delivered to the Finnish
Food Safety Authority on each preparation entering the market.
- We can draft the notification in lieu of the client.
